About Judland
Judland was founded on a simple vision that is very hard to carry out: to build a company that puts people before profit.
The vision
We started with a vision, and built everything else from there.
Every company, every project and every step we take is aligned with that vision. Nothing is created without people in mind, because they are the foundation of everything we do.
Where others chase short-term profit, we focus on the wellbeing of the whole person: their health, education, income, security and sense of purpose. When people thrive, we believe the company follows. Lasting success is built from the inside out.
2010
In 2010 we were running a company in Ivory Coast. Within two months of starting, it was making around a million dollars a month in net profit.
Six months in, it was gone. Our offices were emptied, our delivery trucks were taken and our capital was stolen. In 24 hours we went from running a highly successful company to having nothing to our name.
Starting over
We could not survive a second Ivory Coast. To prevent one, we had to change how we operated, how we thought and how we saw business. Whatever we built next had to be flexible, able to scale, and able to run without us managing it day to day.
Years of testing
We had no capital and no easy way to raise it. What we did have was a background in statistics.
For the first years we spent nearly every waking hour running tests: email campaigns, cold outreach on Twitter (now X) and WhatsApp. We ran the same campaign hundreds of times, changing one small detail each time. The banner, the wording, the colours, the layout, the sender, the subject line. We wanted to know exactly which combination gave the best result.
Later we tested different products, business models and humanitarian work. None of it was meant to sell anything. The point was to record what happened. We no longer wanted to estimate that x would lead to y. We wanted to know.
After years of repetition, our forecasts became very reliable. Before a campaign went out, we could predict its result to within a fraction of a percent, even for campaigns unlike anything we had sent before.
A model that repeats
Alongside the testing, we built working models so that every project we took on could run on its own. Years later we realised the model was not tied to any one business. It could be repeated in every company.
That changed how we understood the work. We were no longer building a handful of companies. We had the means to build an organisation the way we believe one should be built.
The way we build
We did the opposite of what business schools teach. Instead of designing a company to serve shareholders, we built one to serve people: employees, members and communities.
Profit is not our goal. It is the side effect of doing the right thing, the right way, for the right reasons.
Since 2011 we have built everything independently, without outside investors or creditors, so that we can stay true to that purpose. The management has been the same since the first day. That gives us a freedom most companies don't have.
We don't need to maximise profit for the owners, so more of what our companies earn goes to salaries and commissions than is usual elsewhere. We invest in our people, so that it is easier for them to take ownership of their own lives and to look after their families and communities. And we create work where people already live, so that nobody has to move to a big city, or to another country, to find it.
From farming platforms and community initiatives to humanitarian work and local development programmes, every step has been about giving people the means to build their own lives, and about impact that lasts.
2025
The holding company operated under a different name from 2011. In 2025 we set it up again as Judland LLC, a new and improved holding for everything we had built, registered in Wyoming, USA.
How we own companies
Where a company has a large positive footprint, we will in most cases want to stay among its owners for the long term and, where it makes sense, secure a majority so we can set its direction.
With smaller companies we still prefer to stay as long-term owners, even with a minority share. It is healthy to change things now and then, though, so we may sell out of companies that matter less to our mission, or where a sale gives a strong return.
How we work with partners
We are easy to work with. At the start of every partnership, both sides agree what value each will bring, what success looks like in the short and long term, and how involved the Judland management team should be.
Every partnership rests on trust, transparency and purpose, and the company's values have to match ours. That is our main criterion. Location, size and sector are not.
Who owns Judland
The owners of Judland are not named on this site, by choice. We would rather the attention went to the work and to the companies doing it.
The journey ahead
Judland is not a typical company. It is a movement, a journey, and a working example that a business can grow stronger by putting human wellbeing first.
We believe that the better the opportunities we give people, the stronger Judland becomes over time, and that this will take us further than a traditional business model could.
What we are building has rarely been attempted: a company whose success is measured not by what it takes, but by the opportunities it creates.
The Judlandian Dream
We have seen the cracks in the system. The erosion of trust, the corruption of truth, and the relentless pursuit of personal gain above collective wellbeing. We have seen a world where information is twisted, where power bends morality, and where the individual is too often left behind.
At Judland, we believe there is another way. A system that stands for honesty, transparency and righteousness. A system built for the people, and always for the people.
We envision a world where every person, no matter where they were born or what circumstances they inherited, has a fair and equal chance to build a life of meaning and dignity. A world where success is not confined to the wealthiest cities or the most privileged circles, but is within reach in every village, every slum and every overlooked corner of the world.
We dream of a system where dreams are not limited by geography, money or status, but expanded by imagination, effort and community. A system where every person, whatever their talent, ambition or ability, has the space to flourish, to create and to live fully.
We dream of a time when a single income is enough for a family to thrive, and work serves a purpose beyond survival. When education and healthcare are freely available to everyone, as fundamental human rights rather than privileges. When truth is trusted, when systems serve humanity, and when progress is measured not in profit but in the wellbeing of people and the planet.
This is the Judlandian Dream: an alternative path for society, built not on greed or competition, but on community, integrity and hope.
We are not only imagining a better world. We are building it.
